No one should face a diagnosis alone.

We’re building a world where supporting someone through health adversity is as natural, and as well-guided, as celebrating a wedding or a new baby.

A thousand wishes, then one

There’s an old saying: a healthy person has a thousand wishes, but a sick person has only one.

When life narrows to that one wish, the people around us want to help. Mostly they don’t know how, so they send flowers, or say nothing for fear of getting it wrong. Meanwhile the people who know exactly what helps, because they’ve walked the same road, are strangers the patient hasn’t met yet.

The Unconditionals exists to close that gap.

And someone beside them

The people who love them want to help. We show them how.

What we believe

Managing a health condition was never meant to be a solo endeavour. The people around a patient are part of the care, not bystanders to it.

Care is a team sport.

The people who’ve been through a diagnosis know what helped. We turn that knowledge into support for whoever comes next.

Lived experience is expertise.

The relationship is as important as the condition. Allies need guidance too, and support so they don’t burn out.

Both people matter.

Starting points, not cure-alls.

We work alongside doctors and care teams, never instead of them.
